“It’s about the moon,”said Giorgio Armani regarding his latest collection,
“…something romantic and dreamy, far away from our everyday life.” The gimmick worked well as a showcase for his usual tailored lines and his choice of opulent, crystal-incrusted fabrics:


The moon reference on the suit jacket is pretty literal, but it’s also cleverly designed and flattering. I like the more subtle way the theme is referenced on the dress, which manages to be both striking and demure.


Armani took a classic silhouette and made it modern, even futuristic, with the cut of the skirt and the crystal overlay.


The silvery-white fabrics, cut into half-moon swirls, make for some incredibly glamorous gowns.
