I was inspired by Jean Paul Gaultier’s palm leaf dress (see below) to create my own version, using strips of organic cotton fabric I have been meaning to do something with for well over a year. So far, I’ve pinned the strips in place (except for the vertical ones on the right side) and I am trying to figure out the best way to sew them together. And, to prevent the fabric from curling up when I take the shirt (I figured I’d start simple) off the dress form. Hopefully this won’t all be a waste of time!
