Little Red Dresses

This episode focused a lot on the Tin Man Hershey Kiss Dirty Laundry Bag and Vegas Dancer Barbie nightmares, but there were actually some decent outfits in this episode of Project Runway. The challenge was to create an unconventional look using materials from a hardware store, with an accessory to compliment and enhance the look.

I agree that Jay absolutely deserved the win; when I saw he bought trash bags for his material I practically groaned and wondered if he had learned nothing from the 6 previous seasons of Project Runway, but he proved me wrong and created amazing faux-leather pants from said trash bags:

I also loved Maya’s wire jacket. It was avant garde, high-concept fashion but still wearable, and the necklace of keys was brilliant:

Amy’s sandpaper dress had a really interesting fan-shaped asymmetrical bodice and I thought it should have made the top three:

I also like the neckline on Ben’s dress and I thought that Anthony’s dress was not nearly as bad as the judges made it out to be. Also, Anthony gave us the best line of the evening: “The one thing that never goes out of style is making a woman look like a lady.”
