Project Runway Finale: The Best of the Rest

The Project Runway season 7 finale airs tonight, but the final collections were presented back in February along with 7(!) decoy collections. Since none of my favorites made it to the finale, I’m posting my favorite designs from the non-competing collections here. Above are four designs from Anthony’s collection, which was by far my favorite.

The first look is probably the most fun design I’ve ever seen in a Project Runway show. It’s ridiculous and completely fabulous at the same time!

The second look showcases Anthony’s signature draping skills, which he used in his winning design for the Heidi Klum Marie Claire cover challenge.

The sequins, ruffles, and sheer shininess of the third gown should push it far beyond the boundaries of taste, but I think it’s gorgeous.

I absolutely adore this fourth look. The draping makes the fabric almost look like liquid and the swirls of fabric are balanced by the simplicity of the neckline and hemlines.
